Tom and Leighann McCoy accepted the call to pastor Thompson Station Church in January 1989. From the start, everything was built on relationships. They began their ministry by knocking on doors, making friends, and connecting people to Jesus on front porches, at kitchen tables, and neighborhood pools. It was that heart-felt concern for people that moved them to share, not only the gospel, but their lives as well.

Pastor Tom is the kind of pastor who loves people, and on many week days you can find him having lunch meetings at his secondary office, a nearby Mexican restaurant, and coaching basketball at the local middle school. You will often find Leighann encouraging our church to be prayer powered, leading a conference, or writing her latest book on prayer. When they are not at church, Pastor Tom and Leighann love hanging out with their three grown children and two adorable granddaughters.

Our staff is a mix of seasoned pastors, ministry leaders who started out as volunteers, and some fun college interns who help keep us all young. You will often find the staff serving at area schools, joining in community events, or eating tacos at one of our local restaurants. Most importantly, we all believe that Jesus changes everything, and we’re always looking for creative ways to connect people to Jesus!
